I’m thinking about: A high-end fashion show I saw on TV where the designer made dresses that folded up like paper pages into a wearable, hard-back book when they were done.

Words I live by: “Everything you want is just outside your comfort zone” Jennifer Aniston

What keeps me awake at night: new ideas for new products.

One thing I never want to do again: is give birth. Once was enough for me.

Favorite web site: etsy.com. It’s where I spend most of my online shopping, chatting, selling, you name it.

The best thing I ever won: That’s a toss up between a weekend for two at the Maple Leaf Lodge in Townsend and the $500 my husband won on a scratch-off lottery ticket.

My best friend says I am: playful and quirky.

I wish I’d known: how long it would take to pay off student loans.

My mother always said: If you love what you do, it’s not really work.

The worst idea I’ve ever had: was trying to run three businesses at the same time by myself.

What are you most vain about? My shoes.

Whose diary would you most like to read? Coco Chanel’s.

I wish… I had more wisdom to offer.

Words I live by: “Hardship often prepares an ordinary person for an extraordinary destiny.” C.S. Lewis

I am most proud of: Alexandra, my 5-year-old. She’s overcome so many things and is always happy.

Right now I’m reading:
Wizard's First Rule by Terry Goodkind

If I were a superheroine (or fictional heroine), I would be: A Time Lord

The most important thing I ever lost:
A dragonfly pin belonging to my grandmother

The best thing I ever won:
A pony when I was little (my parents were not pleased)

My mother always said (and still does)
Three Great Danes are too many!

The worst idea I’ve ever had: Living in our 1970s home while we remodeled

Whose diary would you most like to read?
Jules Verne

What do you fear the most?
Not being able to see

One thing I never want to do again:

My work: Paintings, drawings, portraits, sculptures, murals, stained glass, hand painted bags, pillows, hats, clothes and vintage-inspired stuffed animals.

My passion: Art, The Bible, Italy and Juicy Couture Perfume.

I’m thinking about: My next painting OPUS #2. It is about “Traverse.”

Words I live by: “God keeps us wondering, not wandering.” ~Regina Turner

One thing I never want to do again:
Backcomb my hair to the ceiling like in the ‘80s.

Right now I’m reading: Einstein/Picasso: Space, Time, and the Beauty That Causes Havoc by Arthur I. Miller.

Last major purchase: Jamali’s “The Red Horse” Limited Edition Print—Signed/Hand Embellishment.

If I had a vanity plate on my car, it would say: ART-QWN.

If I could do it all over again: At the age of 18 I would have pressed on toward Metaphysical Expressionism instead of being pressured to be a realist!

The food I could eat every day: SnackWell’s Devil Food Cookies.

My favorite possession: My orange cat, Wedgy. He’s big, loud, utterly self-centered and I adore him.

I can’t live without: Access to books, music and art. In the middle of misery, war and economic crises, they remind me of what a beautiful place the world can be.

If I could be totally wild, I would: Dress like Marie Antoinette every day—giant silk gowns, candy-colored jewels, powdered makeup, high-rise hair accessorized with a model warship equipped with a miniature operational cannon. Grocery shopping at Kroger would never be the same.

Favorite web site: cuteoverload.com. Baby animals and their shenanigans—hilarious.

Last major purchase: My new Pfaff Sewing Machine. I’m still amazed at how quiet $1,200 can be.

If I had a vanity plate on my car, it would say:
SKRTGRL.

If I were a superheroine I would be: Beatrix Kiddo, aka Black Mamba (from the movie Kill Bill). She has the whole package—samurai sword skills, fluent Japanese, fabulous clothes and great hair.

My family: Could make a psychiatrist rich.

What keeps me awake at night:
Animals out in the cold.

One thing I never want to do again: Take a shower in a dump hotel in Paris that looked like a maid’s closet. I’m still not sure it wasn’t.

Right now I’m reading: Mayflower by Nathaniel Philbrick.

The nickname I wish I had:
Slim or Bean Pole. I always wished I was taller.

The most important thing I ever lost:
My dog Skipper. I am an only child, and he was my best friend.

My best friend says I am: The best secret keeper in the whole world.

I still can’t get the hang of: Telling time.

The world would be a better place, if only: Every dog had a home.

Something most people don’t know about me:
I can sing the French National Anthem in French.

The most important thing I ever lost: The courage to achieve my dreams, until
I found it again recently while wondering through a metal shop.

The worst idea I’ve ever had: Wanting to join the military. I thought I was going to
be the first female Top Gun pilot, but missed the memo that fighter jets kill people.

I can’t live without: Health insurance (a growing epidemic), Idgy & Rex (our two dogs), and my soul mate Olivier M. Odom.

If I could be totally wild, I would: Load my shop in the back of a truck and become a traveling artist.

My work:I restored vintage airplanes, but a year ago decided to pursue the dream of becoming a metal sculptor.
