


“I don’t reel in creativity,” says Shannon. “I just focus.”
Her development company, STJ Productions, zooms in on grassroots artists including photographers, musicians, even models who bring their heart and passion to Shannon for direction and knowledge.
“We preserve and promote art in all forms and find ways to showcase artists,” she explains. While writing poetry is Shannon’s artistic calm, horror flicks drive her mad—especially her own. STJ recently wrapped the trailer for Brood X: Magicada, her psychological thriller based on true events rooted in The Smoky Mountains’ historic Elkmont.”
While scouting music for Brood X, Shannon and rapper Blu Chez banded together to film East Tennessee Hard Hitters, a documentary that won Best Hip Hop/Rap Documentary in L.A. and Best Music Documentary in New York, both New York Independent Film Festival awards.
Shannon’s new play, Alice, Sweet Alice, honoring Alice Cooper and “Welcome to my Nightmare,” is about to hit the Atlanta stage. “Art is new and old,” Shannon explains. We honor tradition and magnify the future.”
