Kelly’s career as a flower deliverywoman stems from a Valentine’s week temp job at Crouch’s Florist - 10 years ago. “The more I did it, the more I fell in love with it,” she confesses. Kelly sees a colorful array of emotion. “People cry, scream, laugh, smile and always ask who sent them – as if I know! When they laugh I’m at a loss for words. If they cry I jokingly threaten to return them.” Kelly plants the seed for lots of happy endings, delivering car keys, diamond earrings and engagement rings inside arrangements. “Whether they realize it, they allow me to be apart of that special moment,” Kelly says. “And it’s great knowing I helped create it.” Like the man who sends his wife two roses every Monday morning or the number of women who surprise men with a bouquet. “People love flowers because they’re fresh and when they grow signify a new beginning.” That’s some serious flower power.
