Russell Biven is on air

Russell’s got news for you. The seven-year Live at Five veteran will now set the alarm for 3:30am to co-anchor 10 News Today. He’ll still dress out as an Ice Bear and swim with traveling shark exhibits in his afternoon gig. “I love going into the field and telling human interest stories.” Russell began in TV as a CNN intern, and despite opportunities to move to larger markets, maintains, “It’s not the size of the market. It’s the impact you have in your market.” His new schedule will free up days to spend with his wife (who he met at 13) and three kids. “You only pass through here once.” With family, faith and football firmed up, Russell admits, “Now if I could only make people wave and pull over for funeral processions, the world would be a much better place!”
