Happy Birthday! The girl turns one, and SO much has happened this first year. She’s really grown and matured and become much more outspoken. Her looks have changed a little, but never has she lost her true self, remaining picturesque, vibrant and full of substance. And talk about settling in to Knoxville, she can tell you anywhere in the city to go for just about anything and especially enjoys the support and feedback from others. Have you seen the friends she’s made? They’re amazing! All will be lifelong buddies for sure, who come from such varied walks of life: women who have followed dreams and taken chances, goddesses, inspiring young girls, creative geniuses, and this month, women who are leaders and have ignited their workplaces. They all share strong core values and are simply brilliant. I think you’ll enjoy meeting each of them. The guys, too, she’s met since last March…what a sense of humor they all have! She’s developed a true sense of community: worked hard for breast cancer, encouraged young girls that they could one day be president, and brought attention to grassroots organizations. What an enlightening and rewarding year. Happy Birthday, skirt!Knoxville! Here’s one to grow on.
