The Lady Luck Issue

Looking back, I bet there were things you thought you’d never be able to do—pack up and move to places unknown, cash in everything to pursue a dream, dare to be lucky in love…my question is, where are you? Is it true so few of us are willing to take chances in life? Are we really waiting on the stars to be perfectly aligned before thinking it’s safe enough to live our life? I’m not sure risk can be contingent on perfect timing. In fact, I’m sad that most stories of triumph come when all the chips were already down…when going all-in was the only option. They say cats have nine lives, which means they must take lots of chances. Somehow, though, they always land on their feet. Maybe we should have the same faith in ourselves—to know we’re resilient, stronger than we presume and capable of enduring much more. Don’t perceive chance as a crap-shoot. Tempting fate is opportunity knocking, telling you to unveil the “essential you” that’s been too bound by fear to venture to the soul and hear its aspirations. It’s a new year. Invest in Lady Luck and roll the dice.
