Executive Director for Girls on the Run of Greater Knoxville, Knoxville, TN

Always... Be true to yourself.

Never... Give up on what you want.

I am most proud of: Completing three marathons.

The best thing I ever won: A 5K in Florida. I was the first female to cross the finish line!

I wish I’d known: What other people think about you doesn’t really make a difference in the grand scheme of things.

My theme song: “Stronger” by Kanye West.

The smartest woman I know: Many, but Molly Barker, founder of Girls on the Run International, is definitely at the top.

One thing I never want to do again: Stray away from who I really am.

The world would be a better place, if only: People would slow down and go back to
Southern values like a hello and a smile.

Last major purchase: A Black 4Runner SUV.

My family: My husband, Jason, two dogs and a cat.

My work: Incorporating physical activity with various life lessons that prepare girls
to make healthy choices throughout life.

The one item that has changed my life: Running shoes.

Whose diary would you most like to read? Britney Spears. What is wrong with that girl?

The worst idea I’ve ever had: To be a bank teller. It’s such a thankless job.
