Jamison runs the drill on good sports-fan-ship. The Big Orange Army founder says, “I want to acknowledge and unify the UT fan base into the largest fan organization in college sports history.” The BOA went active duty in ’02 and has plans to recruit and deploy the concept to other universities, NASCAR and MLB teams, forming “unified armies.” Jamison’s tour, however, has been no easy feat. He watched his mother battle and survive breast cancer. From then, he decided there was nothing to fear. “I knew if I could capture people with my concept then I could also educate them on important causes.” Like East Tennessee Children’s Hospital which receives $1 from each $20 membership. His marching orders are to ultimately enlist 108,000 Vol fans. Until then, this big gun plans to “live like no one does today so you can live like no one will tomorrow.”
