Jim Wright...offers food for thought.
30 years ago, Jim volunteered once a month for FISH hospitality pantries. A few years later, he bagged a successful sales career and his own company to bag food for those who depended on it. “Some people go to Bolivia to affect change. I chose to stay here and knew if I had more time, I could do more.” 47,000 people in Knox County live below the poverty line. 25,000 come to FISH each month. Another 1,000 receive home deliveries. “It’s hard to be productive when you’re struggling for food,” Jim explains. “We’re here to promote human dignity.” Jim has over 300 regular volunteers. One third first came for food and are now hungry to help others. “The diversity of volunteers blurs the lines, which builds true community,” Jim describes. “The poor bring life’s experiences. The affluent bring resources, yet they are the ones ultimately transformed.”

Best thing about reading skirt? It’s well done by people with a vision who are living into it.
Best thing about wearing skirt? I get to donate this one to our Community Hope Chest.
